Peninsula Catholic High School in Newport News, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Assistant
Principal for the 2022-2023 school year.

This is a 12-month position that reports directly to the Principal. The ideal candidate is a dynamic
leader with excellent communication and organizational skills. The Assistant Principal partners
with the Principal in the administration, evaluation, and delivery of instruction, school policies,
programs, communication, and discipline.

Responsibilities and Tasks: The Assistant Principal primary responsibilities include, but are not
limited to:
● Student discipline
● Development of master schedule and curriculum with the Principal and Counselor
● Coordinating and implementing all aspects of student scheduling
● Coordinating parent/teacher conferences
● Coordinating and monitoring academic records
● Acquiring substitute teachers
● Implementing and schedule standardized testing
● Attending various meetings as part of the administration team
● Collaborating with the Principal and other faculty to implement professional
development opportunities
● Other duties as assigned by the Principal
 
Qualifications:
The successful candidate has a graduate degree in educational leadership or related discipline
and should have or is eligible for a Virginia License in Administration and Supervision.

Peninsula Catholic High School in Newport News, Virginia has an immediate opening for a skilled Administrative Assistant. This position will be responsible for collaborating with the Principal and Administrative Team to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This position is a 11 month/year part-time (30 hours/week) position. 

Responsibilities are not limited to the following:

  • Assist the front office in all daily administrative tasks
  • Data entry and filing systems
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or have significant experience as an Administrative Assistant
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and service-oriented approach
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite and database management   
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Professional demeanor, flexible and able to respond to multiple demands
  • Familiarity with an academic environment is preferred
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality

High School Art Teacher

Peninsula Catholic High School is currently accepting applications for Head Soccer Coach. This is a stipend position. Candidates should demonstrate soccer coaching success; excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills; possess a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes; and the ability to act as a mentor to all Peninsula Catholic student-athletes.

 

The Head Soccer Coach is responsible for the direction and operation of all phases of the soccer program in accordance with Peninsula Catholic High School, the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools and VISAA regulations.  Position duties include, but are not limited to:  Scheduling; individual instruction/player improvement; organizing and directing individual/small group practice activities, instructing/teaching student-athletes in the rules, regulations and techniques of soccer.

Minimum qualifications:  Successful soccer coaching experience and a valid driver’s license.
