Home And School Association

All PCHS families are members of the Home & School Association. To share the tasks and responsibilities of the events and hopefully lighten the workload for everyone, we ask the families to help by volunteering to work with the event Chairperson to make all the events a success and enjoyable.

Peninsula Catholic hosts two open houses in November and February for prospective students and their families. PCHSA provides refreshments, Ambassadors are provided pizza and prospective students/families are provided a light meal/buffet style.

Rite of Passage Reception:
PCHSA hosts a reception which will follow the Rite of Passage mass for juniors and their families. This also begins the juniors’ participation in the spiritual retreat – Kairos. Senior Class provides breakfast for the final day.

Teachers Appreciation:
Two luncheons are held by PCHSA to honor our faculty each year - one in the winter and another in the spring. PCHSA serves an estimated 40 teachers, staff and faculty to sit a sit down lunch/activity hour. Parents volunteer to cover for the teachers/staff/faculty, so they may be able to enjoy this much deserved luncheon.

After Prom:
This event is a supervised party of juniors, seniors and their guests if they attend Prom. PCHSA wants to promote a safe, alcohol/drug free environment for our students. PCHSA provides food, entertainment, games and door prizes. There are many opportunities for families to be involved or donate to this event.

Academic/Athletic Awards Reception:
A reception follows the Academic/Athletic Awards ceremony which is held in the spring. PCHSA provides refreshments.

These include a reception following the Baccalaureate mass for seniors and their families and another small reception held immediately following graduation. PCHSA provides decorations and refreshments.

Student Hospitality Days:
PCHSA gives some love and support to the students throughout the year before their exam days.

Teacher Hospitality Days:
PCHSA giving back to the teachers/faculty for all they do for the students, parents, and school. We can not give dates for these as they are random and surprises.
