Tuition and Fees
PC awards over $500,000 in tuition assistance annually to our students. We believe that a family’s finances should not impede any student from attaining a Peninsula Catholic High School education. Our Flexible Tuition provides financial access to qualified families to ensure that an education at PC is an achievable goal. Over 40% of our students receive tuition assistance.
The Flexible Tuition Program is funded through the Catholic Diocese of Richmond’s Parish Sharing, the McMahon Parater Foundation, Peninsula Catholic’s Endowment and Scholarship funds, and the generosity of individual donors. Additionally, qualified families of public school transfer students, or students transferring from out of the area, can benefit from the Education Improvement Scholarship Tax Credit (EISTC) program. FACTS Management Information
Peninsula Catholic offers a Flexible Tuition Program that is managed through FACTS, a confidential online service. Families must complete the online application through FACTS, upload all supporting documentation, and pay a $35 processing fee to be considered for the Flexible Tuition Program.
529 plans may make Peninsula Catholic education more affordable.
In December 2017, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was signed into law allowing families to use 529 savings plans to pay for up to $10,000 in tuition expenses at elementary or secondary public, private or parochial schools. The changes became effective on January 1, 2018.
In Virginia, funds are transferable between family members. Additionally, grandparents, godparents, and other loved ones are able to open a 529 plan on behalf of a student. There can be multiple accounts per child or just one account.
